Mpho Gaobakwe (Senior Partner) obtained her LLB degree from the University of Botswana in 1998 and was in that same year, admitted to practice as an attorney, notary and conveyancer of the Courts of Botswana. Mpho commenced her professional career with Collins Newman & Co. where she gained extensive experience in the fields of Corporate Law, including drafting and vetting of commercial agreements, Commercial Litigation, Labour Law and Conveyancing.

In 2005, Mpho joined Public Enterprises Evaluation and Privatisation Agency (PEEPA) in the capacity of in-house corporate counsel and corporate secretary.

In this position, Mpho gained hands-on experience in corporate transaction work in the privatisation arena, which experience, coupled with that gained while in private practice has given Mpho a well-rounded knowledge of law and policy both in the private and public sectors in Botswana.

Mpho joined the Firm in 2007 and currently heads the Labour and Corporate/ Commercial Law areas of the practice, details of which are given below.

Mpho has served on various national boards/committees such as Botswana Savings Bank, the Gaborone City Council Physical Planning Committee, BICA Disciplinary Committee (as chair) and as a member of the Board of Assessment constituted under the provisions of the Acquisition of Property Act Cap 32:10.
